Justine & The Victorian Punks - Still You/Beautiful Dreamer

Justine & The Victorian Punks is the work of musician, film-maker, photographer, painter and performance artist Colette. This idea began in 1978 when Colette declared herself dead, held her funeral at the Mudd Club, and then resurrected herself as Justine.

Justine hooked up with Peter Gordon and his Love of Life Orchestra and the singles 'Beatiful Dreamer' and 'Still You' were born. The 12" has just been re-issues on DFA and includes the original decandent cover art and a limited edition poster. Grab a copy while you can, these won't be there for long.

Bubble Club

Bubble Club is the music project of West London producer, DJ, and record collector  Dan Keeling.  The music is described as  'A  dubbed out mix of modern melodic electronics' and he has so far released 3 very good 12's.   My favourites being  the dreamy 'Violet Morning Moon' which includes a Dr Dunks remix, and 'Morning Star'  Which is an Italo-esque banger and features a brilliant soft rocks mix.  The soft rocks version turns the track into a delightful slice of vintage sounding house. Enjoy!

The Death Of Vinyl?

Panasonic announced they will cease production of their analogue products within their Technics brand. Most notably this means the end of the Technics sl1200 turntable. Read the full article here-http://www.tokyoreporter.com/2010/10/28/dead-spin-panasonic-discontinues-technics-analog-turntables/
Go grab a pair on Ebay while you can. These things are built like tanks, I have had mine over 10yrs without a single problem despite the repeated knocks and even drink spillages. I can't say the same for a CDJ!

Andy Blake Interview

Stumbled across this the other day, look at those records and all that analogue
equipment.  If I had all that I would never leave the house!
